What is the cheapest way to travel in England?

travel
MizButterfly asked:

I’m thinking of flying ryanair into london stansted and then either take a bus or train to york, stay there for a few days and then travel to milton keynes and then back to london. Or I can just go from London to Milton Keynes return. I would prefer the first but it all depends on how much it would cost. I don’t mind taking the bus, train or metro.

It also seems that most of the cheap tickets are sold out, or is this just on the websites so you will buy the more expensive one?

Also does anyone know of any cheap accomodation in London or Milton Keynes???

Thanks!

Al
