How long will it take from the point of view of an astronaut making the trip? What will be the maximum difference in the speed of time from an astronaut on the journey from the speed of time at mission control on earth?

Christmas falls on a Monday this year. I’m figuring that the Friday before (22nd) would be bad for travel, and probably the Tuesday (26th) will be busy as well.

What would you suggest as the ideal days to travel, in order to overlap Christmas day with a week of time off? Would Wednesday through Wednesday make the most sense?

I was watching the science channel one day and they were talking about time travel and how it’s possible that there are people from the future trapped in our time, because they don’t know how to get back. The idea that there actually is a future world going on at the same time as our own world is mind boggling.
