T G asked:
I’ve heard that it will take roughly 9 months to travel to Mars. But, time travels faster when farther away from large gravitational fields. How long will it take from the point of view of an astronaut making the trip? What will be the maximum difference in the speed of time from an astronaut on the journey from the speed of time at mission control on earth?

Joop asked: My Optics lecturer said something about how since light travels in a vacuum, you could, potentially, have something travel faster in a different medium, one other than a vacuum.
True or false?

Nivea asked: I need to travel from Rutgers University to downtown Manhattan (Avenue of the Americas), on a weekend and am exploring options. I’ll also be travelling from downtown Manhattan to the Newark airport and back.
Time, cost and convenience are all factors. Please advise.

singing_setter asked: The mantle is 2884 km deep. If I were to travel through the mantle, how long would my journey be?
By the way, I know this sounds stupid. No one could ever travel through the mantle, it’s way too hot (4,000 degrees F), but I have to write a paper about traveling through the different layers of the earth.

Yo asked: I’m trying to figure out a trip to see family on Christmas, for about a week. I’m looking at a full day of driving to reach the destination, mostly highway driving.
Christmas falls on a Monday this year. I’m figuring that the Friday before (22nd) would be bad for travel, and probably the Tuesday (26th) will be busy as well.
What would you suggest as the ideal days to travel, in order to overlap Christmas day with a week of time off? Would Wednesday through Wednesday make the most sense?
Thanks.
Sheila

One of my favortie things to do is have strangers think I look good or get random compliments.
A great place to do that is the airport.

I’m doing a project on the voice and I want to know how far the human voice can travel in an outdoor situation. This would be without aid of a microphone or an amphitheater setting. Just one person speaking to a crowd outside.

dicky1241 asked: Hi,
I am flying Virgin in the summer from LHR to SFO and then returning from LAX - LHR. I live in the North West of England, so what is the best way to travel down to Heathrow?
I am thinking of flying as BA and BMI have some fairly cheap fares atm, but is it possible to through check my bags from MAN, even though I am flying with different carriers? Same question for the return journey?
Or, would it be easier to get the train?

I would like to travel to Madagascar in November until mid December (6 weeks). But I keep reading that it is rainy season during that time. Unfortunately that’s the only time when my boss let’s me go on holiday. Is it still good enough to travel thru Madagascar when it is rainy season or will it be too stressy and difficult to travel around?

I wonder? asked:
I myself really do not understand the concept of other dimensions too well and I’m sure many others don’t either. I was watching the science channel one day and they were talking about time travel and how it’s possible that there are people from the future trapped in our time, because they don’t know how to get back. They also mentioned something about how you could time travel and end up in a dimension that looked exactly like the one you are from, but it isn’t. The idea that there actually is a future world going on at the same time as our own world is mind boggling. All of the people interviewed were respected scientists, so they obviously knew what they were talking about. What are your thoughts on time travel and other dimensions?
